The company will be given a unique tag name and a symbol using which they can trade in the stock exchange that they have listed in. A company can also trade in more than one stock exchange. Some companies trade locally, while some trade all over the country or all over the world. A company that trades across the world will be listed in several stock exchanges of different countries.
