Whistleblower is a person who starts raising concerns for the wrong doing of the organization and he in all probability works with the same organization. That is any person who is alerting others to the possible wrong act of the company is termed as a whistleblower.

For example, if a certain employer feels that he or she is being discriminated, then instead of fighting for it alone they start gathering everyone’s attention and make sure that they all agree with them so that they can fight for a common cause.Whistleblower attitude is legally wrong thing to do. If there are federal laws against discrimination and other acts against the employers, then there are federal laws against the whistle blowers also.

Under the current legal system whistle blowing is considered as a crime under the Fraud Enforcement and Recovery Act or the FERA. It is equivalent to committing a fraud, and this law has been mainly designed to protect the interests of an employer. It is also a direct threat to the public interest because a whistle blower can actually influence coworkers in a wrong way and make them commit the same fraud. This category of people can make any kind of allegations on employers or coworkers or even on agencies external to the organization.

Any person who is not routing his problem in the organization in the right method and is causing problems for the management can be termed as whistleblower by the company and appropriate action can be taken against them under the Fraud Act.
