Devices that improve fuel economy are suppose to save you money. These devices burn fuel more efficiently so that your vehicle uses less fuel but gives optimum performance and in the bargain you do not have to visit the filling station too often and feel the pinch of rising fuel prices.

There are primarily two types of devices that improve fuel economy. Both these devices are available in the market but there is an ongoing debate about the actual usefulness of these devices.
Conversion to Water Kits: This device can be used on your car and it is suppose to double the mileage, give you a better working engine and reduce the emission of pollutants. This kind of kit can be built at home because it is considered safe. It cost around $150 and is advertised with a message that a vehicle owner can save thousands of dollars. If you spend $500 a month on fuel, it is estimated that your saving will be $20 a month and $2,500 a year.
Pills: It is believed that there pills being manufactured that you can just drop into your gas tank and this will result in better mileage. It is also said that these pills improve the way an engine works. Compared to the conversion kit, the pills are expensive but it is estimated that you can save $0.3 on every gallon you purchase.
